• Create meaningful friendly URLs and keep them as short as possible.

• Create friendly URLs for all pages and sub-pages except for pages that redirect to another page or guide e.g. Researching and Referencing.
• Create meaningful friendly URLs and keep them as short as possible.
• When topic pages combine two or more topics, use words from the first listed topic only.

Essential:

• Keep the friendly URLs as meaningful and as short as possible e.g. for the Graduate Diploma of Education Early Childhood (Birth-5) start with he for higher education, followed by the abbreviation for graduate diploma gd and then add the short title for the course (2 words only) e.g. hegdearlychildhood
• Use no more than 3 words including the degree abbreviation without space.
• Use lower case only
• Do not add space or underscores

For HE specific pages

• Option 1: Friendly URLs for HE readings pages by year have the year and the number added e.g. heappliedcommerce/year2
