Latest Updates and Decisions

September  2025
  • When the title of a publication needs to be in Italics, some assets have the open emphasis tag <em> at the end of the 'Link Name' field and then the Publication name and closing emphasis tag </em> in the Description field. Opening and closing tags should be in the same field to prevent record corruption.
  • All Standards should be deep linked and alerts set up in updates.
  • Providers and duration need to be added to the description of eVideos, e.g. ClickView, 4 min. This is to avoid duplicate assets.
August 2025
  • All items should have the content type statement to help avoid the duplication of assets.  We will no longer be removing the content type statement in the individual title when creating a list of items of the same content type and the box title indicates the format.  All titles should have a content type added.

November/December
  • Taylor and Francis and Emerald removed from deep linking instructions.
November 2024
August 2024
  • Removed the following advice re formats and box titles: If a box is for one item type only e.g. eBooks, you can remove the item type from the title. The box title needs to state the item type of the items displayed, as this was contributing to duplicate assets. Please DO NOT remove item formats from item titles.
July 2024
  • Removed links to the TAFE NSW Style Guidelines. This resource is no longer available.
  • Preferred term is deep link, not deeplink. Updating this as we see it.
