Standards and Guidelines: Key Resources Box

Key Resources (OPTIONAL)

  • An optional key resources box may be used on the Welcome page, directing them to primary resources and illustrating the relevance of the LibGuide. The box type is generally not encouraged.
  • The key resources box may be a standard box or a tabbed box.
  • The key resources box can include a variety of resources e.g. texts, eResources, legislation, eVideos and web resources considered essential to the subject.
  • If helpful, use descriptive headings in the text box relevant to the items displayed. In standard boxes format headings using the format Heading 5.
  • The key resources box can contain just one item but no more than 10 items. 
  • Keep the box as concise as possible. 
  • Tabs in tabbed boxes should not go over one line. Use only up to three tabs.
  • Box name can be Key Resources or Key eResources or content type specific if applicable e.g. Key Web Resources.
