Essential - Rich Text/HTML   Required

  • Use the Rich Text/HTML feature at Add/Reorder for adding text.
  • Keep text brief and to the point. Use headings to break up long texts.
  • You can bold portions of text if required but use bolding of text sparingly.
  • When copying text from a Word document or other sources, paste it as plain text or use the Paste from Word feature (See also the Springshare help below).
  • Try to avoid adding links within text because links within text will not attract any statistics. Use this option only if required.
  • You can combine text and links in the same box if you want to add words above or below the links.
  • Always use the Link feature at Add/Reorder for adding links in a list (See instructions).

Headings within Rich Text/HTML   Optional

Headings can be used to break up long texts.

  • Do not just use bolded text for headings. The use of proper heading styles is required to make content more accessible.
  • Use Heading 5 only.
  • Use the Add Rich Text/HTML feature from Add/Reorder to add headings.
  • Type the name of the heading in sentence case.
  • Highlight the heading name and select Heading 5 from the Normal (Paragraph Format) drop down menu.

Links in Rich Text/HTML   Required

Important: When adding links to text, ensure that you change links to open in a new window by using Target dropdown to select New Window (_blank).

Exception: If you link to a box on the same page, leave the target as <not set> or change the target to Same Window (_self).
