Standards and Guidelines: Articles and Book Chapters

Essential - Articles and Book Chapters REQUIRED

  • Use the Add/Reorder > Link feature to add them. Enter in title field: Title (Year) - Content type by author/s 
  • Use the appropriate Deeplinking instructions to create links to articles and eBook/book chapters.
  • Use sentence case for titles followed by the year in brackets.
  • For articles, add the content type eJournal article or Journal article (scanned articles) e.g. - eJournal article.
  • For eBook/book chapters add the content type eBook chapter or Book chapter (scanned chapter) e.g. - Book chapter.
  • You can remove the content type if your list provides only one content type e.g. eJournal articles.
  • Add no more than 3 authors. The author/s will be added including the word by in front of them e.g. - eJournal article by John Smith
  • Authors first names can be written in full or abbreviated with a full stop after the initials.
  • Use a comma between authors and place an ampersand between two authors or the last two authors.
  • Adding a description is optional. Keep the description short or use Hover over item title to hide the description.
  • Further bibliographic detail is not required in the title or the description.
