Technology for Learning: Welcome

Access to Learning Technology Used at TAFE NSW

What is the TAFE NSW Student Hub?

The Student Hub is the gateway for students to access online tools to support their studies.

It includes access to:

  • Your courses
  • Your student email account
  • Your Learning Management System (LMS) e.g. Moodle or TAFE NSW Digital Campus (TDC)

You will need your TAFE NSW username and password to access the Student Hub.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

TAFE NSW has implemented multi-factor authentication (MFA) to help protect student information from cyber-attacks. You can choose to use a variety of authentication methods including Ping ID.

How Do I Get My TAFE NSW Username and Password and Email Address?

Access your TAFE NSW account

When you enrol in a course at TAFE NSW, you’ll be given a username, password, and student email address. This allows you to:

  • connect with your teachers and peers

  • access the Student Hub

  • access other learning resources and platforms

Your student email usually looks like this: firstname.lastname@studytafensw.edu.au
Sometimes you might see a number added, e.g. jane.thompson1@studytafensw.edu.au

Existing students

Log in using your current login details. If your account has been deactivated, contact Student Services on 131 601 to reactivate it.

If you don’t know your TAFE NSW email address, try to find the email we sent to your personal email account when you applied. Otherwise, follow the steps to find your username.

New Students

You’ll need to set up your account to complete your enrolment. Follow the steps to Set up your account with us.

Reset your password

Student passwords expire every 180 days. If your password has expired or you have forgotten it, resetting it is easy. Follow the steps to reset your password.

If you know your password and want to change it, follow the steps to change your known password

Avoid account lock outs

After updating your password, you’ll need to avoid your account locking. To do this, go into your wi-fi settings to remove or ‘forget’ and reconnect to the TAFE NSW wi-fi using your new password.

Find out how to forget a wi-fi network on your device.

This will prevent your device from trying to connect to campus wi-fi using your old password next time you’re on campus.

If your account has locked, find out how to unlock your account.
