The ADE app can be used to download and read eBooks from CCH, EBSCO, ProQuest and other eBook platforms. For digital rights management, a free Adobe ID is required to authorise the ADE applications.
When you want to read CCH eBooks on mobile devices only, you can also consider the ePlatform Mobile app which does not require an Adobe ID.
Note: The ADE is currently the only app available for download on desktops and laptops.
You will be prompted to get the app when downloading an eBook from CCH eBooks via a web browser.
Technical specifications for the app - see system requirements.
Submit a request at Adobe Digital Editions Learn & Support if you are having any problems with the app.
An Adobe ID is an account created through the Adobe.com website. The Adobe ID is your email address and a password that you create. This is the ID you will need if you are using Adobe products such as Acrobat and Adobe Digital Editions.
If you already have an ID you do not need to create another one.
