To search all content available in Oxford Art Online, use the search box located in the right top corner and enter your search term e.g. Bauhaus .
At the results page you can modify your search.
Add additional terms to your search by clicking on Add term. You can combine your terms by using the operator AND, OR or NOT. To update your search click the Update button.
To limit your search further, click on the drop-down icon for a list of categories including:
Results are automatically displayed by relevance, click on the drop-down icon to sort by title, author or publishing date.
You can also adjust the Date range e.g. From 2018 January will show you only results published after January 2018.

To create a personal profile that will enable you to save content and searches for future visits, click on the Personal Profile tab located on the top navigation bar.
Once you have created your account your name will appear e.g. .
Click on your name to view content, searches and annotations that you have saved.
The collection can be browsed by Category, these include:
Select a category from the top navigation bar e.g. Medium. Then select a sub-category, e.g. Prints and Printmaking.
To filter the results further use the filters located in the left hand navigation bar e.g. Contemporary art.
On the top of the result list you will see the categories you have selected. The results are sorted by Article Title - A to Z, you have the option in the drop-down menu to change this to sort by Author / Editor or by Published Online Date.
You can now click on any title that you wish to view, e.g. Achard, Michel.

Oxford Art Online allows you to print, save, cite, email, share resources and create annotations.
Click the PDF icon to save or print the PDF. By confirming, you agree to the Intellectual Property Rights in Oxford's Privacy policy and Legal notice.
The save icon allows you to save the current entry or page to your folder in the personal profile. If you do not have one, use the printer icon to save the page.
Click the pencil icon to choose from the citation formats e.g. APA. The citations can be copied and pasted directly into a document. For the correct referencing style, you will need to adjust the citation to comply with TAFE NSW referencing guidelines.
Click the letter icon to send a link. Please note that the link will not work if you are not logged in to Oxford Art Online.
Click the share icon to share a link to the current article or page on a social bookmarking site (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc.). Please note that the link will not work if you are not logged in to Oxford Art Online.
Oxford Art Online allows you to add annotations (notes) that remain even after you have closed the article or image.
1. To add an annotation, highlight the text that you would like to annotate.
2. Click on the annotate icon and a text box will open. Type your note and click save.
3. To view your saved annotations click on your Personal profile.
