How to get the Flipster App

1. After opening the Flipster App, use the Find My Library feature to connect to the TAFE NSW collection.
2. Search for and select TAFE NEW SOUTH WALES STRATHFIELD and tap the LOG IN button.
3. At the TAFE NSW login screen, log in with your TAFE NSW username and password.
To search a magazine online, tap the Magnifying Glass icon 
in the upper-right corner of the Explore screen. In the search field enter your keywords. As you type, titles related to your keywords are displayed.
To download a magazine to your device, tap on the Download icon
or tap the cover for more information and previous issues.
When the magazine is downloaded, the icon will change from the download arrow to a red book icon.

At the Explore screen tap on the pull-down menu icon
to browse Recently Published magazines in alphabetical order or magazines in various categories.
Alternatively, tap on Categories for a list of subject areas.
To view your downloaded magazines tap on the My Shelf icon 
at the bottom of the screen.
Tap on Sort to view your magazines alphabetically or by the most recently downloaded. New magazines will have a New label 
in the lower left corner of the magazine cover. Select your magazine and tap on the cover to start reading.
Once you begin reading your magazine a percentage label 
appears below the magazine cover which tracks how much of the magazine you have read.
Note: Some downloads will expire after a week and will display an Expired label. You can delete any downloaded magazines from your device by tapping on the Trash icon
below each cover.
At the Read screen, you can navigate your magazine by swiping your finger left or right to flip through the pages. Alternatively you can tap on the menu icon 
to view the digital table of contents with links to each article highlighted yellow.
To add a bookmark tap on the bookmark icon 
located on the top left-hand corner of the Read screen. To view your bookmarks tap go to the My Shelf menu and tap Bookmarks.
Your list of bookmarks will appear. To delete a bookmark tap the bookmark icon 
again.
Note: When you delete a magazine from your device, the bookmarks are also deleted.
This option is available when reading an article. Tap on Text View to read your articles free from images and advertisements. You can change it back to Page View if you wish to see the images.
When multiple articles appear on a page, a drop-down menu appears when you tap on Text View to select the text only version of a specific article.
The Flipster app includes a Text to speech reader that can read your magazine articles to you.
At Text View, tap the speaker icon 
to use the Text to speech reader.
Press the play button in the Text to speech window to hear the article read to you.
